Dr. Catherine S. Chang is a Harvard trained Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with a sub-specialization in Cranio-Maxillofacial aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery. Besides having impeccable surgical acumen and technical skill, Dr. Chang has a natural eye for beauty and elegance — an innate attribute that is intuitive and unteachable.  

Dr. Chang’s practice focuses on the face, breast, and body. Her specialties include a combination of both aesthetic and reconstructive procedures. These include breast surgery and facial rejuvenation and facial aesthetics – facelift, necklift, mini-facelift, revision facelift, rhinoplasty (nose job), eyelid rejuvenation, ear surgery, and custom designed facial implant surgery.  Dr. Chang also specializes in reconstructive plastic surgery, which includes trauma and cancer reconstruction of the face and body.

Dr. Chang is quadruple ivy-league educated from start to finish. She graduated magna cum laude from Columbia University in New York City. She then received her medical education from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. Here she was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society, a national honor reserved for those in the top of the graduating medical school class. 

She completed her combined general surgery and plastic and reconstructive training at the University of Pennsylvania and was chosen to serve as chief resident during her final year of training.  During this time, Dr. Chang was able to learn from illustrious and academically distinguished mentors, pioneers, and leaders in all fields of plastic surgery. 

Dr. Chang subsequently pursued additional specialized training in cranio-maxillofacial aesthetic and reconstructive surgery with her world-renowned mentor at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. During this time, Dr. Chang also served as a clinical instructor of surgery at Harvard Medical School, teaching plastic surgery techniques and principles to surgical residents and medical students.

Dr. Chang continues to be academically oriented. She is committed to providing her patients with the most current, evidence-based care and surgical techniques. She remains active in clinical research and has published over 20 peer-review articles, three book chapters, and is the co-author of the textbook Atlas of Facial Implants on craniofacial surgery and facial implants.
